ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
Jonathan began his studies at New York University but soon transferred to the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. While at the Museum School he won a coveted Independent Study Award: he worked with his mentor, Jan Cox, in Antwerp, Belgium, producing his first body of work in 1975. Today, Jonathan is known as an expert in the creation of visually sophisticated imagery, making extensive use of today's cutting-edge digital tools. "Nonetheless," he states, "it is not about the tools but the depth of humanity with which we infuse the work." Jonathan, celebrated for his fine art, is currently focusing on his passion for photography.
ABOUT YOUR PORTRAIT SESSION
Jonny Katz Studio believes in a natural, candid approach to portraiture. Just as we eschew artificial lighting, we have no love of artifice in posing. We capture a spontaneous moment when you are vibrant and there is genuine expression on your face. Your individuality is your gift to the world. All you have to do is show up. We'll take care of the rest.

Your portrait session is split between various outdoor locations. Natural light is our specialty; it is honest, beautiful light. We believe it is also the most flattering light, so you can be confident you will look your best.
